Making a change to your mortgage

Can I add or remove a person to my mortgage?

Yes you can, we call this a transfer of equity.

You will need to fill out a transfer of equity application form and return this to us, together with the information requested in the form. You can either email this to us at [email protected] or send it by post to 51 Homer Road, Solihull, West Midlands B91 3QJ.

We will then assess your application and may need to ask you for more information and documentation in support of your request.

Please be aware that we may not be able to agree to the change. However, if we do agree, you will need to instruct a solicitor to act on your behalf and make the changes to the property ownership.

Can I change the term of my mortgage?

This is a variation of contract.

If wish to change the term on your mortgage, we will assess your request and may need to ask you for information and documentation in support of the amendment.

Please be aware that we may not be able to agree to your request.

Can I change the repayment type of my mortgage?

This is a variation of contract.

If you wish to transfer your repayment type from interest only to capital repayment, we will assess the application and may need to ask you for information and documentation in support of your request.

Please be aware that we may not be able to agree to the request if we think that making the change will affect the affordability of the mortgage.

How do I change the address linked to my mortgage account?

If you’ve recently moved and need to update the correspondence address on your mortgage account, please call us on 0345 849 4060 and we can update this for you.

How can I update my contact details?

If you’d like to update the contact details associated with your mortgage account, you can do this by logging into your account online. Alternatively, you can call us on 0345 849 4060 and we can do this for you.

Can I give you authority to talk to someone else about my mortgage?

Yes. We call this a third-party authority.

If you would like us to discuss your mortgage with someone who isn’t a part of the mortgage, we will need you to complete a Third-party authority form.
