Paragon’s construction finance team sharpens regional focus with new appointment

Paragon Bank’s construction finance team has strengthened its regional presence in the Midlands and South West with the appointment of business development manager Todd Auger.

Todd, who will be based from Leicester, has 14 years’ experience within the sector. He joins from Komatsu Finance where he developed his specialist knowledge of construction, including new and used construction equipment and classic asset finance products such as hire purchase and operating leases.

Prior to his last role, Todd worked at RBS Group within the asset finance team as a senior relationship manager across a number of different sectors in the South West.

This is the third appointment within the Construction Team in January, following the addition of business development managers Chris Shaw and Kelly Matthews.

Construction finance sits within Paragon Bank’s SME Lending division, supporting the needs of the UK’s small to medium-sized companies.

Todd said: “I will be focussing on supporting new and existing clients across the East Midlands and South West region, covering Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, the West Country and South Wales. My focus will be on direct business funding, working with a range of customers and machinery suppliers.

“I’m looking forward to getting out and meeting both customers and dealers from next month onwards, as the pandemic restrictions start to ease.”

Terry Lloyd, head of construction finance at Paragon, said: “It’s great to have Todd on board with us as our latest addition to the construction team. This follows a period of growth that has seen us bolster the team with three new additions since January.

“Todd’s wealth of specialist knowledge and experience will be a massive asset in helping us support customers across the UK whilst demonstrating our commitment to the sector.

With Hillhead Digital kicking off this week, Todd’s skills will be invaluable in supporting the team and further growing our proposition.”
