SME specialist Paragon encourages agricultural sector to be one step ahead of Brexit

Specialist lender Paragon is encouraging businesses across the agricultural sector to be one step ahead of Brexit.

By equipping themselves now with essentials and machinery, from forage harvesters to biomass boilers and tractors, Paragon believes this could give farmers and related businesses peace of mind before subsidies and EU funding come to an end.

Paragon’s experienced team specialising in agriculture has 40 years combined expert knowledge in the complexities of the sector.

Ian Smith and Russ Nicholls will be offering advice on how firms can strengthen and grow their business ahead of Brexit at LAMMA 2019 - the UK’s leading farm machinery, equipment and services show at Birmingham NEC in January.

Ian Smith, a Business Development Manager in Commercial Finance at Paragon, said: “Brexit is currently the biggest issue for the agricultural industry and we want to help farmers and business people in this sector to prepare well for the changes looming.

Stockpiling for the future by renting, leasing or buying agricultural equipment now means that businesses can guard against unexpected events in the coming years, post-Brexit.

I grew up on a farm in Wales so I understand well what’s important to this sector. Paragon prides itself on helping UK farms and agricultural companies get access to funding so their businesses can flourish.

Paragon, which won the SME Specialist of the Year award at the Leasing World Awards 2018, supports businesses in funding new and used agricultural equipment through a variety of flexible finance options including seasonal payment plans. Support from £25,000 and higher helps business commonly buy items including combine harvesters, hay and forage equipment, tractors, renewables and telehandlers.

Paragon will be at stand 10.148 at LAMMA 2019.
