Redland Court Manor House

Redland Court Manor House holds great significance in Bristol and is widely recognised as a remarkable testament to its architectural era. The iconic Manor House is a Grade II listed building and was built between 1732 and 1735. Over the years, it has served as a residence for country gentlemen and, from 1884 to 2016, as Redland High School for Girls.

Setting out to preserve its historical value whilst fostering a vibrant community, Juniper Homes undertook the transformation of this important landmark. Paragon’s Development Finance team assisted with the conversion with a £21.5m facility.

The development was not without its challenges, with the project team facing structural and engineering problems to overcome on a daily basis. Preserving the historic character of the buildings was also of paramount importance. Juniper’s dedicated team were tasked with striking the right balance between restoring and maintaining the original period features while seamlessly incorporating the contemporary amenities and design elements expected in today’s luxury housing developments.

The outcome is an exceptional development that pays homage to its past while creating a distinct and diverse neighbourhood.
