How can I get support if I’m deaf, hard of hearing or have a speech impairment?
We work with Relay UK which is a service that helps deaf, hard of hearing and speech-impaired individuals communicate over the phone. This service can translate speech to text and text to speech. You can call us via Relay UK and a Relay assistant will type out what our adviser says. It's like a 3-way call between you, a hearing Relay Assistant, and us.
You can download the Relay UK app onto your computer, iPhone, iPad, Android phone or tablet. Visit their website www.relayuk.bt.com and select Download our app. You can use the Relay UK app when you make a phone call to turn it into a text call.
Textphone: If you're using a textphone, enter 18001 before the number you want to dial. This will connect you to Relay UK and one of the Relay UK assistants. You just type what you want to say, and the Relay Assistant will relay your words to us. The Relay Assistant can then type our response to you, so that you can read it.
