January – Paragon picks up Savings Champion Award

We won the Best Long Term Fixed Rate Cash ISA Provider award in the 2018 Savings Champion Awards. We were also highly commended in three other categories including – Best Overall Cash ISA Provider, Best Fixed Rate Cash ISA Provider and Best Short Term Fixed Rate Bond Provider after being nominated for a total of nine awards, including Best Savings Provider.

Moneyfacts Consumer Awards

We also received a Commended at the Moneyfacts Consumer Awards in the Online Savings Provider of the Year category. The Moneyfacts Consumer Awards combine honest consumer feedback with technically elite products, to reveal products that have the best features and benefits.

February – Welcome Booklet re-design

In February, the welcome booklet was streamlined to make it easier to read and more user friendly for customers to use.

March – Paragon wins Feefo Trusted Service Award

We won the prestigious Feefo Trusted Service Award in recognition of the exceptional customer service delivered. We really appreciate our customers taking the time to provide their feedback and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who submitted a review.

April - Improved wording of general terms and conditions

Improving the wording of our general terms and conditions in April helped to give customers a clearer understanding of their contract terms.

Paragon announced as finalists at the Moneyfacts Awards

We were chosen as finalists in the following categories; Best Fixed Account Provider, Best Internet Account Provider, Best Cash ISA Provider, Best Bank Savings Provider and Best Secured Loan Provider.

May – Improvements to ISA Application and Transfer Process

Changes were made to the ISA application process to allow customers to transfer an existing Paragon ISA into a new Paragon ISA more easily. Electronic ISA transfers were also made available to existing customers with a Paragon Easy Access ISA, as a result of customer feedback.

June – Popular Saving Newsletter of the year -

The Savings Newsletter in June was the most popular of the year with articles on how to spot phishing emails and staying safe online. Did you know? We now have over 140,000 savings customers!

July – Changes to the maturity process

We extended the amount of time given to customers to choose their options.

August – Paragon reaches £5 billion deposits milestone for savings accounts

We reached five billion pounds in deposits, four years after launching its first savings product. Customer deposits are pumped back into the economy, to support small businesses and entrepreneurs across the UK through everything from asset finance loans to property development finance.

September – You asked… We listened

In September, we made several process improvements based on customers suggestions including the ability to access to your money faster, deposits being visible sooner, extended weekday opening hours and weekend opening hours, making it easier than ever for us to hear from you.

October – Customers focus groups project –

Live focus groups project began in October to help gather even more feedback on how to improve services.

November – High customer satisfaction scores

Our Customer Satisfaction Survey revealed 89% of customers rated the account opening process as very easy/quite easy over the past year and 89% of customers would definitely/probably consider taking out another savings account with us in future. A big majority of our customers (86%) who called us during the past year were very satisfied/satisfied with the service they received from our UK based call centre.

December - Paragon Bank are winners at the Savings Champion Awards

We won the Best Savings Provider for Existing Customers category at the Savings Champion Awards. We were also awarded Highly Commended in the Best Savings Provider, Best Online Savings Provider, Best Notice Account Provider and Best Monthly Income Provider categories.
